Supernova – Cleanup & Antivirus is an Android app published on Google Play by MUZA TECHNOLOGIES s.r.o., Kaprova 42/14, 110 00 Praha 1, Czech Republic (“we”). We decide what the app does with information and we are responsible for it under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This policy goes through the app one tool at a time, then lists the outside services involved and your rights.

You do not create an account in the app. It never asks for your name, e-mail address or phone number, and it has no in-app purchases.

Tool by tool

Junk Cleaner, Deep Scan, Large Files, Duplicate Photos, Compress Photos, Social Media Cleaner

To find cache, temporary files, empty folders, old screenshots, leftover APK files, large files and repeated photos, the app needs Android’s “All files access” permission and reads file names, sizes, dates and locations in your storage. Compression rewrites the images you choose. All of this happens on your phone. File contents, photos, videos and documents are not sent anywhere. A file is deleted only after you select it and confirm.

While the app is installed, a background service repeats this storage check from time to time so it can notify you when junk has built up. It runs on the device and shows a notification while it works. You can stop notifications in Android settings.

Antivirus

The antivirus is provided by Trustlook Inc. Before the first scan the app tells you what will be sent and asks you to agree. If you agree, the app sends the package names, digital signatures and file hashes of installed apps and of APK files on your storage to Trustlook’s cloud service, which compares them with its list of known threats and returns a verdict. Your personal files are not sent. With your agreement the check may also run in the background, at most ten times a day. If you do not agree, the antivirus does not run; the other tools keep working.

Wi-Fi Security Check

The app reads the names and encryption types of nearby networks and, for the network you are connected to, its name, hardware address, signal strength, frequency, speed and local IP address, to tell you whether it is open or weakly protected. Android only allows Wi-Fi scans after you grant location permission, so the app asks for it; it does not use that permission to work out where you are, and it does not store or send network names or addresses. Only the verdict “safe” or “not safe” is counted in usage statistics (see below).

Battery Analyzer

Charge level, health, temperature, voltage, current and charging state are read from Android and shown on screen. They stay on the phone.

What the app sends, and to whom

Trustlook — antivirus checks
Fingerprints of apps and APK files, as described above, only after you agree. Trustlook handles them as a service provider and under its own privacy terms.
Google Firebase Analytics — usage counts
Events such as “opened the large files screen” or “tapped Scan”, with no file names, network names or other content attached. Like any Firebase app, it also receives an app-instance identifier, device model, Android version, language, approximate country derived from the connection, and may receive the advertising ID. We use the counts to see which tools people use and where the app gets stuck. We keep them only as long as we need to compare how the app is used from one release to the next; after that Google deletes them automatically under the retention setting of our Firebase project.
Google Firebase Crashlytics — crash reports
When the app crashes: the technical trace of the crash, device model, Android version and app version. Used only to find and fix bugs, and kept only while a crash may still need investigating; Google then deletes the reports automatically.
Google AdMob — ads, in versions that show them
When the app shows ads, Google AdMob selects and displays them and receives your advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and how you interact with the ad. In the EU, EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland the app first shows Google’s consent form, and personalised ads are shown only if you agree. Each ad impression may report its value to our campaign tracker (next line) so we can measure income against marketing costs.
Our campaign tracker — where installs come from
If you installed the app from one of our advertising campaigns, Google Play passes the app a campaign click identifier. The app sends that identifier, the fact of the install and, where ads are shown, the value of ad impressions to the tracking service we use to measure campaigns. No name, file, advertising ID or device identifier is added to these messages.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with data brokers. The providers above act on our behalf or as independent controllers for their own services as set out in their terms; Google’s practices are explained at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Why we are allowed to do this

Outside the EU

Google and Trustlook may process data in the United States and other countries outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens the transfer relies on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision, including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for companies certified under it.

When you write to us

If you e-mail support@muza-technologies.com, we use your address and message only to answer you. We keep the conversation while the matter is open and afterwards only as long as we may need it to show how a request or complaint was handled, then delete it.

This website

supernova-c.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising. Our web server records standard access logs, including IP addresses, to keep the site secure; they are rotated daily and deleted after about two weeks. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes connection data to protect and speed up delivery.

Your rights

You may ask us for access to your data, its correction or erasure, a restriction of its use or a portable copy, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Because the app has no accounts, most of what it handles never reaches us in a form linked to you; tell us what you need and we will help with what we hold and point you to the right provider for the rest. You can reset your advertising ID or turn off ad personalisation in Android settings at any time. You also have the right to complain to the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.gov.cz) or to the authority in the country where you live.

Changes

If a new version of the app handles data differently, we will update this page before that version reaches Google Play and change the date at the top.
